Dr. Emad Kandil is an internationally recognized endocrine surgeon with exceptional expertise in thyroid and parathyroid care. He is widely regarded as one of the most experienced surgeons in North America in thyroid and parathyroid ablation procedures and a global leader in advanced and remote robotic approaches. Dr. Kandil is a Fellow of the American Surgical Association—one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious surgical organizations—as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Kandil served as the leading endocrine surgeon at Tulane University, where he was Professor of Surgery, the Elias Hanna Chair in Surgery, and Chief of General, Endocrine, and Oncologic Surgery. During this time, he built a nationally and internationally recognized program focused on innovation, safety, and outcomes in endocrine surgery.
